File Management · Guide 6
Managing Files in the Panel
Browse the server tree, edit text configs, and upload .jar files into mods/ or plugins/. Village and Kingdom only.
1. Open the Files tab
- In your Chunkly Panel, select your world.
- Open the Files tab (paid plans only — Campfire shows an upgrade prompt).
- Browse folders, open text files to edit, delete files you no longer need, or upload a .jar into the current folder.
2. What you can do
- Upload .jar files into mods/, plugins/, or the server root (Upload JAR — not zip/folder upload).
- Edit text configs such as server.properties in the browser.
- Replace a whole world save via the Worlds tab (zip / tar.gz upload), not via Files.
Key directories
/world
Contains the Overworld level data, player data, and region chunk files. Nether is /world_nether and End is /world_the_end on Paper.
/mods
Upload Forge/Fabric/NeoForge mod .jar files here with Upload JAR. Config folders usually appear after the first successful start.
/plugins
Upload Paper/Purpur plugin .jar files here. Restart after uploading so they load.
server.properties
Primary game configuration: difficulty, PvP, view distance, MOTD, whitelist, and max players.
Files cannot upload world folders or server-pack zips. Use Worlds for a world archive, Backups to restore a snapshot, and Modpacks for Modrinth installs.
