Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Translations of this page are provided for convenience. If the English version and a translation differ, the English version prevails, except where mandatory consumer law of your country requires otherwise.
1. Who we are
Chunkly is a trading name of GATEX LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16888067). Registered office: Suite 10264, 5 Brayford Square, London, E1 0SG, United Kingdom. Contact: [email protected] · [email protected]. These terms are a contract between you and GATEX LIMITED.
2. Accepting these terms
You accept these terms when you create an account. You must be at least 16 years old. These terms are available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Dutch, Portuguese, Turkish and Russian. If the versions differ, the English version prevails, except where mandatory consumer law of your country requires otherwise.
3. The service
Chunkly lets you create and manage Minecraft: Java Edition servers. Campfire is free and needs no card. Village and Kingdom are paid monthly subscriptions. The features of each plan are those shown on /plans when you buy.
4. Minecraft EULA
To run a Java server we must accept Mojang's EULA (https://aka.ms/MinecraftEULA). When you create a server, you confirm that you accept it by ticking a box. Chunkly is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
5. Prices, payment and VAT
Prices are in euros and include any VAT that applies. Payment is processed by Stripe. Each month is paid in advance.
6. Subscription, automatic renewal and cancellation
- Paid plans renew automatically every month at the then-current price until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time, with no notice period, via Manage billing in your panel or the link on your Stripe receipt. Your plan keeps running until the end of the paid period, and you are not charged again.
- After the paid period ends, your server stops. Its files and worlds are deleted 30 days later, so download them before then.
- We tell you about price changes by email at least 30 days in advance. You can cancel before they apply.
7. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. See the Refund & Withdrawal Policy.
8. Your responsibilities
Keep your login private. You are responsible for your servers, their content and who you share your address with. Follow the Acceptable Use Policy.
9. Your content
Your worlds remain yours. You give us permission to store, copy and process them only as needed to provide the service. Keep your own backups of worlds that matter to you.
10. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance and incidents with upstream networks can cause downtime. This does not affect your statutory rights if the service does not conform to the contract.
11. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or end your access, or remove content, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the law. If we do, we explain why (unless the law forbids it), and you can contest the decision at [email protected]. If we end a paid plan without you being at fault, we refund the unused part. You may stop using Chunkly at any time.
12. Liability
We do not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or where the law does not allow a limit. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected. Otherwise, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for data loss that a reasonable backup on your part would have prevented.
13. Changes
We may change these terms for valid reasons. We email you at least 30 days before material changes. If you don't agree, you can cancel before they take effect.
14. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. You can bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live or in England and Wales. We can only bring a claim against you in the courts of the country where you live.
15. Complaints
Email [email protected]. We reply within 14 days. The EU ODR platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025. We have not joined an alternative dispute resolution scheme and are not obliged to.
