Cancel Minecraft Hosting Monthly: How Chunkly Billing Works

Why a friend SMP wants a month, not a long contract

A private Minecraft world follows the group. A Paper season can be busy for five weeks, then exams, a new pack, or a quiet Discord. Monthly cancel is the billing shape that matches that calendar. You can open a season and end it on the same plan.

The public lines agree. The FAQ asks “Can I cancel anytime?” and answers: “Yes. Billing is monthly with cancel anytime.” Plans copy says paid plans bill monthly in EUR through Stripe, cancel anytime, and one subscription covers one server. Store copy says monthly cancel, no contracts. The included billing list says “Cancel anytime — no long contracts.” /faq also pairs monthly cancel with no lock-in.

When the group is done, cancel. When a later season starts, subscribe again from /plans. The same account can start on Campfire first. Campfire is free and never requires a card, so a Vanilla try can happen before any subscription exists.

What the month costs

Price is RAM times a published rate, in EUR. Village Budget is €0.85 per GB per month. Kingdom Premium is €1.90/GB. The month is the SKU you picked.

Worked examples, the same math as /plans: Village 4GB is €3.40/mo (4 × €0.85) and Kingdom 4GB is €7.60/mo (4 × €1.90). Village 8GB is €6.80/mo and Kingdom 8GB is €15.20/mo. Every other SKU on /plans is that rate times the GB. Plan choice is on /blog/village-vs-kingdom.

Campfire is free, Vanilla only, one server, 2 GB, about five players online, and it needs no card. Paper, Purpur, Forge, Fabric, and NeoForge are paid plans. One paid subscription covers one server. Servers are hosted in the EU. /faq does not publish a ping figure.

How to cancel in the panel

Paid plans renew monthly until canceled. Terms name the place: manage or cancel anytime from the Stripe billing portal linked in your panel or on the receipt email. The refund policy says the same steps. In the panel the control is labeled Manage billing. On a Stripe receipt, use the customer portal link.

The contact page says the same thing for invoices, cancellation, and payment method updates. That page is /contact, and the published support address is [email protected]. If the panel cannot open the portal, it can show “Billing portal unavailable” or “Network error opening billing.”

Leaving checkout before you pay is a different screen. Checkout canceled means no charge was made. You can keep playing on Campfire, or start Village or Kingdom later. A subscription that is already active is canceled in the Stripe billing portal. Upgrades use that portal too: the RAM guide says you can upgrade anytime there without losing worlds, player inventories, or config files, and RAM changes take effect on the next restart.

When billing stops

The refund policy states the timing that is written down: access continues through the end of the paid period. Terms put the renewal side next to that: paid plans renew monthly until canceled.

/refund and /terms do not publish a proration formula or an automatic refund of unused days. Read those pages, and the refund section below, before you count on money back for the current invoice. /faq also does not describe a clock for world files after the paid period. Access through the end of the paid period is the line that is written down.

Are there contracts?

The public answer is monthly billing, cancel anytime, no lock-in, and no long contracts. Store copy says no contracts. Paid Village and Kingdom plans renew monthly until you cancel them in the Stripe billing portal.

Terms describe that monthly renewal and name the Stripe billing portal as the place to manage or cancel. They also say you may stop using Chunkly at any time. Cancel the subscription in the portal so renewal stops: terms say paid plans renew monthly until canceled. Terms also say Chunkly may suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate the terms. A normal season ending still goes through the billing portal.

Refunds are a review

Cancel and a refund are different. Cancel ends future renewals and leaves access through the end of the paid period. A refund is a review under /refund.

If you were charged by mistake, or Chunkly was unusable for a material part of your billing period due to our fault, contact us within 14 days and we will review a refund or credit.

Routine “changed my mind” refunds after significant use of a paid plan are not guaranteed, but we will listen. Email us via Contact, at /contact. Campfire stays outside both cases: the refund policy says Campfire is free and never requires a card.

When the season is over

Cancel in the Stripe billing portal when the group is done. Access continues through the end of the paid period. A tiny Vanilla hangout after that is Campfire on /plans and /free-minecraft-server: one server, 2 GB, about five players, no card. Before you pay, read /faq, /terms, and /refund, then pick the card on /plans.
